Torrent Vaccine Signs to Bit Riot Records

Chicago, IL - May 12, 2008 – Chicago’s Bit Riot Records has reached the Southern underground with the signing of Torrent Vaccine, a Baton Rouge based electronic solo project produced by Brad Vaccine.

With a sound that electronic aficionado's might describe as Download meets Haujob with just a touch of Meat Beat Manifesto, Torrent Vaccine is a unique experience for every listener. While fans and critics may struggle to categorize Torrent Vaccine, it is clear that this diversity is exactly what makes the project so unique. With a fan base that spans from metal to industrial to rave, the Brad Vaccine's ideology is clearly on display.

The idea that "progress" in a society or culture begins with individuals is the foundation of Torrent Vaccine's musical efforts. From Cyanotic's Blog: "People have been asking about our new album. We figure we might as well answer a couple things. The name of the new album is "The Medication Generation". We are hoping to have it out by summer. Its about North American ways to cope with living. Eating pills and reading celebrity magazines. Jason Prost from mindfluxFuneral is co-producing the album with me (Sean). The electronics and structuring of the songs is intact. Chris and Drew are finishing up the writing of the guitars. I am also working on a project with Jared from Chemlab and Matt from Caustic. The tentative title of the project is Prude."

Cyanotic has finally had a chance to wind down from their hugely successful tour with Chemlab. Fans are encouraged to check out the bands road road images at Cyanotic's web site gallery or visit the Cyanotic Myspace to get a perfect picture of the chaos. 3500 miles in 6 days was a daunting task, but the band brought their trademark power and intensity - not to mention the noise - each and every night. Bit Riot Records would like to extend our special thanks to guest drummer Adrian White of The Silent Alarm, Front Line Assembly, Strapping Young and Dismantled.

After the tour ended Cyanotic approached us about setting up a special sale to reward their fans. We thought that would be a great idea while we continue to work on our brand new webstore that launches next year. Cyanotic has shirts and CD combo bundles for sale. December 6, 2007, Bit Riot Records artists Cyanotic have just announced that Adrian White (Front Line Assembly, Strapping Young Lad) will be joining them live on drums starting December 10th in Tallahassee, FL. for a leg of the DETONATION DAYS TOUR headlined by machine rockers Chemlab. This is Cyanotic's third time on the road in support of their breakthrough album Transhuman 2.0. Adrian's experience is an exciting addition to this run as Cyanotic looks to take a more aggressive stance in metal and incorporate a permanent live drummer to the line up with their upcoming 2008 Bit Riot Records release.

Hello to All,

The weather might be chilly but we aren't ready to cool down quite yet. After a huge summer of touring and shows from all of our artists, it looks like Cyanotic and mindFluxFuneral are both heading back into their studios to work on their new albums. Breath And Decay has been haunting NUM studios as well as they work hard on their debut performance. For more information on our artists read below. Finally, keep your ears open for a few new signings this winter to help round out our 2008 release schedule. We can't name names quite yet but when we can, everyone on this list will be the first to know! And now for the news...

Cyanotic NEWS…

Cyanotic will be returning to the studio this winter to finish up their as of yet untitled follow up album to Transhuman 2.0. We are also pleased to announce that they will be appearing on select Chemlab tour dates this December as well, see the upcoming events section below for more details!

mindFluxFuneral NEWS…

mindFluxFuneral are working diligently on their new album which I am told should expound upon the success of their current sound while subtly moving towards a more organic composition structure. Apparently there is a lot of Amon Tobin going on at NUM Studios :] To coincide with their new work it appears that mindFluxFuneral have blacked out their Myspace profile in order to create a fresh new slate for their next assault of audio visual multi media genius.

Breath And Decay NEWS...

Breath And Decay are hard at work on their debut album which is currently working under the title "Still Life And Waking Dreams". This album will consist of 12-13 tracks of pure dance floor power and is slated for release early next year. A few lucky fans had a chance to get an early preview of the band at their live show this past October with Assemblage 23 and the response was amazing so the band is working as hard as they can to get their album out soon!

Our friends over at VF Mag had a chance to hook up with the Psycho Transhumanoid tour this past week in Denver and they have posted a great interview with Cyanotic as well as a wicked live video from the show. Rock on VF mag!

We would like to extend our congratulations to Breath And Decay who played their first live performance over this weekend with Assemblage 23 and Sensuous Enemy in Madison. The show went off without a hitch and we hear it was a great time for everyone. Anyone looking for info on Breath And Decay should stay tuned, we expect to get some information and pictures up shortly and then music a bit down the line.

Chicago, IL. September 3, 2007, Chicago based artists Acumen Nation and Cyanotic have officially announced the 2007 "PSYCHO TRANSHUMANOID TOUR". Kicking off in Minneapolis, MN on October 4 and heading to the West, the tour is a nod to glitched out sounds, heavy beats and abrasive electronic metal. Supporting the tour is the Acumen Nation drum and bass side project DJ? Acucrack. Taking a moment to talk about the tour Jason Novak of Acumen Nation / DJ? Acucrack explained some of the circumstances surrounding their exciting west coast plans.

"Acumen Nation hasn't been west of the Mississippi in over 8 years, and while DJ? Acucrack was fortunate to travel west with both KMFDM and Frontline Assembly on recent tours, it was important for us to get there on our own. After having mixed Cyanotics first album and working with them on compilations, it seemed a good fit for a touring package. Cyanotic joined the PSYCHO TRANSHUMANOID tour after their own hugely successful 'Fix The Glitch' tour with Bit Riot label mates mindFluxFuneral. Getting right back on the road, the band is promoting its July release 'Transhuman 2.0', an eclectic mix of heavy synthesis, electronic beats and aggressive guitars. Cyanotic is also working on new material for their sophomore release under the Bit Riot label, which still untitled, is slated for release Spring 2008. Fans at these shows will be the first people in the world to see Cyanotic perform these new songs.

Bit Riot Records would like to thank everyone for their support of our debut releases that hit stores Tuesday. The support has been great and the sales have been humbling. Look for our adds in Synthesis Magazine and Vampire Freaks magazine this month! Also, album reviews are starting to roll in - curious about Cyanotic's Transhuman 2.0? Check out the stellar review at Virus Magazine !

Also, the records should be up at Isotank and Amazon this week and iTunes... well whenever they seems to feel like it. We apologize that these records are not up at industrial-music.com but we are working to get our records into that distro dilligently!

BR6002: Cyanotic - Transhuman 2.0

Transhuman 2.0 started as Sean Payne and Chris Hryniewiecki entering the studio to record some bonus tracks for Transhuman. Working with producer Jason Prost of mindFluxFuneral, the band found themselves heavily manipulating pre-created Transhuman tracks and creatively restructuring them. During this time, many noted guests jumped at the chance to be a part of the process. Transhuman 2.0 features members of Front Line Assembly, 16 Volt, Crack Nation, Rabbit Junk and mindFluxFuneral who all lent their creative talents to the mix.

The end result was Transhuman 2.0, a sonic assault of epic proportions with 12 new and evolved tracks based off of the original Transhuman album as well as 4 club remixes. Both discs mastered by Chris Cozort at Trozoc Studios. This release marks the beginning of a new era of the creative chaos that is Cyanotic and the release that Cyanotic fans have been thirsty for.

Hi there everyone, hope the early summer is finding everyone well! We have some big news this week:

First and foremost, Cyanotic Transhuman 2.0 Limited Edition Double Disc and mindFluxFuneral teatro deRevelacion pre orders are up! To get in on these items you can preorder at The Official Bit Riot Webstore.

For those of you unable to pre-order, the discs will hit the streets on July 3d and will be available via WTII distribution anywhere WTII releases are found. If your store doesn't have the titles, don't be afraid to ask them to stock up!
