| Bio: | Chicago, IL – May 2007 - After 7 years in the music industry, as a producer, a performer, and in promotions, Eric Dusik was presented with an extraordinary opportunity to approach WTII records with his concept of Bit Riot Records, a sub-label catering to the darker harder sound of electronic music. Initially, this was to act as an imprint for his solo project Breath and Decay, however, that notion was short lived as Bit Riot began signing the quality artists that have for years made up the core of Chicago’s electronic scene. Long time industrial music industry pro and owner of WTII Records, Bart Pfansteil welcomed the partnership, as it would allow him to focus more freely on other aspects of the mother label while still holding true to its roots and the music community at large. He has also entered a distribution agreement with Bit Riot Records.
Soon after this meeting in March 2007, Eric collaborated with producer, Jason Prost and indie rock/metal scene promoter, Tonya Leigh, and Bit Riot Records was born. From the beginning, the mission was to find and create quality music that not only speaks to the people but also crosses over and brings them together. |
